The laboratory testing with real ASTM oil breakdown cells was invaluable. Learning how plasticizers in cheap PVC cables contaminate synthetic hydrocarbon oils saved us from an expensive fluid flush. My only critique is that the 1-day agenda is exceptionally dense—the fluid testing segment alone could easily have filled an extra half day to cover FTIR spectroscopy in greater depth.
