Single-Phase Immersion Cooling Masterclass
An intensive 3-day hands-on engineering seminar covering single-phase dielectric fluid mechanics, ASIC tank commissioning, pump flow dynamics, and dry cooler sizing at our Gimpo thermal laboratory.
Seminar Curriculum & Detailed Scope
This hands-on course is structured to provide rigorous thermodynamic principles and direct physical bench experience at our Gimpo laboratory.
What Is Included in the Scope:
- Direct teardown, fan-spoofer installation, and immersion retrofitting of Bitmain Antminer and MicroBT Whatsminer ASIC hashing boards
- Single-phase synthetic hydrocarbon vs synthetic ester fluid selection and dielectric constant testing
- Hydraulic calculation workshops: manifold pressure loss, flow meters, pump curves, and brazed plate heat exchangers
- Closed-loop dry cooler integration, ambient delta-T modeling, and adiabatic misting calculations for Asian monsoon climates
- Emergency shutoff failsafe wiring, fluid temperature threshold automation, and thermal runaway prevention
- Comprehensive 180-page engineering handbook, fluid viscosity calculation sheets, and certificate of completion
Scope Boundaries & Exclusions:
- Two-phase fluorochemical immersion systems (due to environmental phaseout and GWP regulations)
- Electrical transformer substation high-voltage grid construction (covered conceptually only)
- Commercial sale or warranty of third-party tank hardware
Laboratory Execution Process
Phase 1: Fluid Dynamics & Hardware Preparation
Inspect dielectric fluids, calibrate viscosity against temperature curves, disassemble air-cooled ASICs, clean thermal paste, and install high-temperature sealants and fan emulators.
Phase 2: Hydraulic Loops & Tank Commissioning
Plumb closed-loop fluid circuits with braided stainless and CPVC piping, calculate head pressure across heat exchangers, bleed air locks, and power up full 40kW test immersion tanks.
Phase 3: Thermal Tuning & Heat Rejection Stress Test
Induce intentional thermal loads, monitor real-time ASIC chip silicon delta-T via thermographic probes, tune variable frequency drive (VFD) pumps, and validate emergency cooling loops.
Certified Technical Outcome
Participants graduate with the certified engineering competence to design, plumb, commission, and maintain 50kW to 2MW single-phase immersion mining installations with PUE below 1.05.
